Terms and Conditions

Please read these carefully

Terms and Conditions of hire, including Rental Agreement and Assumption of Risk.

For the purpose of this agreement the Customer is the name used on the Booking Form.

PLEASE READ THESE CAREFULLY.

When you hire equipment from Poole Paddle Boards, you are agreeing to Poole Paddle Boards Terms and Conditions of hire, as detailed below.  The Terms and Conditions apply to the hire of all stand up paddle boards and accessories ( the "equipment" ) from Poole Paddle Boards by a customer, for use in a location their choosing.

- It is the responsibility of the person named on the booking form, to ensure that all those who will be using the equipment have read and agreed to the Terms and Conditions, and Assumption of Risk.

- The customer must be over the age of 18 years at the time of hire, and proof of home address and identity, driving licence or other photographic identification is required on drop off.

- Children under the age of 18 years can use the equipment at the discretion of their parent/guardian but must be supervised at all times.

- There is a £25 deposit to be paid for each rental on delivery, to be returned on receiving the rental(s) back in the condition it was rented.  Deposit to be taken on delivery of equipment in cash or bank transfer.  The deposit or part of, will be kept if paddles, leashes, buoyancy aids and bags are missing or damaged (paddles do not float).  The use of waterproof phone holders is at your risk only.

- In the event that the customer is not available for delivery/collection of the equipment at the agreed time, a further fee of £15 per board will be charged and an alternative delivery/collection time negotiated. 1 day hire is from 8 am to 5pm unless otherwise agreed.  A further days hire will be charged should the equipment not be available for collection 60 minutes after the agreed collection time.

- All equipment will be returned in the same condition in which it was received.

   Customers assume accountability for items missing, incomplete, lost, stolen or damaged beyond repair.  In the eventof damage or theft of the equipment, the customer agrees to pay fees to the total value of replacement boards/equipment as necessary.  Any failure to return the boards/equipment due to theft or damage, and to fund repair/replacement will result in legal action being taken.

- For replacement of the equipment are the following:
Board - £300 / Manual Pump - £35 / Electric Pump - £60 / Paddle - £45 / Fin - £20 / Ankle Strap - £25  Rucksack - £45 / Buoyancy Aid - £25 / All other accessories - £15

- A full refund will be given for cancellations made 7 days or more prior to hire start date. Poole Paddle Boards reserve the right to cancel at any time for a full refund, an alternative or another date may be offered.

- Participants need to make sure children are supervised at all times.

- Participants must not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs before or during the rental period, and must not use the equipment for illegal means.

- ASSUMPTION OF RISK:  The customer understands that by hiring the equipment they are exposed to risks, which may include, but are not limited to personal injury, unpredictable/dangerous weather conditions and tidal changes/physical dangers, and loss or damage to property.  The customer understands the inherent risk involved in using the equipment and accepts full responsibility for any and all such damage or injury which may result.

- WAIVER & RELEASE:  In consideration of renting this equipment, the customer releases and forever discharges Poole Paddle Boards, its officers, agents, and employees from any and all liability or claims for injury, illness, death or loss of or damage to property which the customer may suffer whilst renting this equipment and participating in Paddle boarding. This discharge specifically includes, but is not limited to, liability or claims for injury, illness, death or damage caused by the negligence of Poole Paddle Boards or its officers, agents, or employees. It is the intent of the customer by the waiver and release agreement to release Poole Paddle Boards from all liability for any such property loss or damage, personal injury or loss of life, whether caused by negligence of Poole Paddle Boards or whether based upon breach of contract, breach of warranty, or any other legal theory.

- By completing the booking form, the customer fully recognises that if injury, illness, death or damage occurs to the customer while engaged in renting the equipment the customer will have no right to make a claim or file a lawsuit against Poole Paddle Boards, its officers, agents or employees.

- THE CUSTOMER ACCEPTS THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF POOLE PADDLE BOARDS THAT A LEASH AND BUOYANCY AID SHOULD BE WORN AT ALL TIMES BY ALL PARTICPATANTS   AND THE CUSTOMER HEREBY COMMIT TO WEARING BOTH AT ALL TIMES WHILE USING A POOLE PADDLE BOARDS STAND UP BOARD.

- THE CUSTOMER HAS CAREFULLY READ THIS AGREEMENT AND UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENT. I AM AWARE OF THIS IS AN ASSUMPTION OF RISK, WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND BY MAKING A BOOKING  ACCEPTS  IT VOLUNTARILY.

Poole Paddle Boards reserves the right to change or amend terms and conditions at any time.
